Skiemonys 5 MW: Lithuania's first flat-mount robotic solar park is built

Tiltsun has completed construction of its flagship 5 MW solar park in Skiemonys, Lithuania — the first utility-scale flat-mount solar park in the country and the first built with Tiltsun's proprietary ballasted mounting structure and robotic installation process.

"Skiemonys is where our vision became reality. We moved from concept to concrete, and the park proves that our robotic construction method delivers a faster, smarter and more affordable path to green energy."

What makes it different

The modules are mounted edge to edge on a levelled, ballasted structure, forming a contiguous flat surface with no inter-row gaps. There is no piling or drilling: the ground is levelled, ballast blocks are placed, and the robot assembles and interconnects the modules along the rows. Gravel service corridors run between the panel fields for access, cabling and automated cleaning robots.

A remote solar park for everyone

Skiemonys is engineered as a remote solar solution: any resident or business in Lithuania can purchase a share of its green energy output. With state subsidies, consumers can expect a payback period of under three years.

What's next

The park is now the reference site for Tiltsun's flat system. We are welcoming developers, EPCs and investors for site visits, and applying the lessons from Skiemonys to projects across the Baltics, MENA, Africa and Latin America.
